Testing the human spirit

I’m sure I speak for all the authors here as well as our many readers by saying that the castrophy that has hit our sister city New Orleans as well as many other harder hit smaller coastal towns are in our thoughts and prayers. Times like these test the resolve of many and highlight the weakenesses of the few. Hopefully some sembalnce of order as well as safety will soon be restored to New Orleans.

I’d be happy to be included in your sentiments but not the part about prayers please, since I don’t believe in any of that kind of stuff it would be wrong to be counted in. We are a largley secular country over here so the plight of all the poor black pedestrians who got left behind in New Orleans and the folk rounded up in Baton Rouge for days with no food or drink is perhaps in all our thoughts, yes but not necessarily prayers.
