Open House London
Ever wondered what the Lloyd’s of London building looks like inside?
How about Customs House? Or any number of other buildings around London?
Open House London is coming up fast! On the 17th and 18th of September, hundreds of really cool buildings around London will open their doors to the general public for all to see and enjoy and experience. There’s a guide to all the buildings on display and also the facility to search online.
I’m planning on going around to some of the City sites (I do love the City). If anyone else is up for it, we could do a mini Metblog meetup! Elsewhere would be cool too, if you’re all more in the mood to hit another part of town.
Comment on this post if you’re interested, and I’ll try to put something together.

The City sounds good to me too, but bear in mind that that queues for the Gherkin were several hours long last year, so it would be good to seek out some more obscure buildings.
A tip for the next one. Get yourself on as a volunteer to help out next year. Your badge helps you queue jump at will. We walked past people who’d been waiting hours to get into the gherkin last year, just went straight to the front of the queue ;-) You should have seen people’s faces ;-) If you do want to see the popular places, for gods sake get there early.
