Oh, what a beautiful morning…

Blue skies, bright sunshine – London looks pretty good on a spring morning. What better occasion than to make my first post?

Certainly a stark contrast to yesterday, where it was grey and miserable, and I witnessed Kevin Spacey striking yet another mortal blow (how many mortal blows does the man need to strike?) to the venerable institution that is The Old Vic.

Whilst I promise to embrace the positive as well as the negative during my sojourn with the London Metbloggers, it would be remiss of me to advise anyone happening across this page to avoid Resurrection Blues like a dead swan by a reservoir. It’s hideously written (Arthur, what happened?), it’s appallingly directed and produced, and the ‘actors’ (for want of a better term) are so conscious of the theatrical travesty they’re purveying that they can’t even be bothered to remember their lines.

I’m with Jared – go and see “V For Vendetta” at the iMax. Or the Pixar exhibition at the V&A. Or if you’re a couple and are considering going, buy membership at the Tate Modern instead: then, as you sit on the 7th floor balcony watching the sun set over the Thames while you drink Champagne, raise a glass in my direction.

Greetings one and all – it’s good to be here.

Greetings Dan. As they say in Japan: “Let’s make happy writing together.”

The morning is considerably less attractive from the wilderness that is Croydon, but I share your sentiments regardless. Welcome to the blog, Dan!
