Happiest Day of the Year
It was 150 days ago that the Guardian reported it to be the worst day of the year. University of Cardiff psychologist Cliff Arnall had done some calculations, and the Guardian printed a massive article about how optimism wins votes and Labour should get on the bandwagon as well as follow up articles about sad days.
Today, says Cliff Arnall, is the happiest day of the year. There was only a tiny little mention in the G., and I couldn’t even find it on their website to link to.
I think Londoners love sad days more than happy days…gives them a chance to complain.
