A word about today

Like these guys a few people, including myself took time off work to pay respect to those that had their lives so brutally cut short. It was a moment of peace away from the triviality of work for something far more worthy. It was a moment away allowing me to collect my thoughts and think about the events of a year ago.

One thing did depress me a little and that was that so few took time to join me and the others. That was hard to understand.

A touching moment, Sean, and don’t feel too despondent about human nature…

I reckon a lot of people don’t know what to do with their feelings in situations like that, and sometimes organised ‘grief rituals’ don’t work for them, even though they are the accepted thing to do…

You just have to get on with things, and thank ‘someone’ that you weren’t one of the unfortunate… my dad was just a few metres away from the bus that exploded having decided to walk instead of taking it… makes you think…
