Shopping for a Loan

pigeon.jpgAh, yes. It’s finally come to this. Months of no paid work, and the overdraft is about to crush us like a stray pigeon on the street. Not to mention the credit card. I blame immigration, really. With a fee of 600 quid to renew a visa in this country, how can we expect to pay the rent? Anyway, we’re now in the market for a consolidation loan.

Let’s just put aside the question “Isn’t it better just to buckle down and pay off the overdraft manually” for now because I’m quite interested in a free education about loans in London. My plan is to shop the major banks, and, if one of them can convince me, then they win my business.

“What does this have to do with London?” you might ask. PJ is from a small town in a small northern European country, and he does not trust the banks here in London. Sceptic that he is, he thinks they do not have our best interests at heart. So, we’re gonna put them to the test.

As we could probably get sued if I use the real names of the banks, I will use code names. My first appointment is today. Check back here for the next instalment of “Shopping for Loans.”

Nice one…I’m looking forward to your next installment.

ps. The Home Office is a money-grubbing wank fest. They double bill immigrants with taxes and fees while using us as whipping boys for all the ills of society. poo on them!

So, can you not claim your visa fee off your taxes?
