One that slipped by without any fanfare

With all the deserved attention given to George Best’s death and incident prone life its worth noting for a moment the passing of another sportsman who died through no fault of his own. It was a pleasure watching you drive so brilliantly Richard.

    Well said. Somewhat cruelly, I can’t help wondering whose life could’ve been saved by Best’s liver transplant…

    I didn’t mean to be cruel, but its true that for all his brilliance GB brought about his own downfall whether or not he was ever able to fight it. A friend of his said that he long slow descent was like a life long suicide note.

    Alcholism is a recognised disease. I dont think you can bring on a disease.
