Whale spotted in central London

A whale has made its way up the River Thames to central London, where it is being watched by riverside crowds.

The northern bottle-nosed whale, which is 16-18ft long and is usually found in deep sea waters, has passed Parliament and is moving upstream.

Darn it, it would be so cool to be working up in London today. I used to be just round the corner from the river at Vaxhual bridge. I could have spent the day Whale watching.

Damn these Welsh people and there total lack of Whales. I mean, what sort of a country is it that can’t even come up with a national animal. If us English can do it then why can’t they.

    Wales – pah!

    Cruise ‘South Park’ Show Censored
    20 January 2006 (WENN)
Tom Cruise has reportedly stopped an episode of South Park that mocks him from being aired in Britain. The show, in which Nicole Kidman and Cruise’s fellow Scientologist John Travolta are depicted attempting to coax an animated version of the actor out of a closet caused controversy when broadcast in the US. The cartoon Kidman tells Cruise, “Don’t you think this has gone on long enough? It’s time for you to come out of the closet. You’re not fooling anyone.” – referring to allegations about Cruise’s sexuality. According to, Paramount has agreed not to show the episode again, after Cruise complained. A source tells the site, “Tom is famously very litigious and will go to great lengths to protect his reputation. Tom was said not to like the episode and Paramount just didn’t dare risk showing it again. It’s a shame that UK audiences will never see it because it’s very funny.”
