The Race
If anyone’s listened to the radio, television or newspapers the last few days, you’ve heard about the run that is taking place in Hyde Park in October. It’s a run for charity Fairbridge. It’s set up as North London vs South london. I suppose I’d be running for North London. According to the BBC’s website, “Some 32,000 people are expected to take part in the UK’s largest running events on 8 October starting in Hyde Park.” There are apparently marathon runners and such that are chipping in for the cause. I can’t really offer a lot to this great cause. As a former pack a day smoker, I might be better off on the sidelines. Otherwise, I might just ending up having to crawl for most of my distance.
Which side are you on?
That’s the annual Run London competition, for Nike. The charity connection is tenuous (and optional), but it’s a hell of a run anyway. I always look forward to their advertising campaign each year.
